We're on the move!

We're not moving houses, but this momma is off! I'm now chasing 2 crazy little moving monsters! Mariana finally has officially decided to crawl, after months of thinking about it (9 months old already!). She really is the sweetest little thing, and has a new-found pride in her crawling abilities. She breathes in and out really quickly to show us her excitement. Enjoy the video....

I have had quite a crazy and difficult couple of months with many funerals, illness and lots of other "stuff" getting in the way of my normally positive outlook. I'm trying to stay strong in my "glass half-full" attitude but finding it more challenging than I normally do.
However, my girls are amazing and sweet and the lights of my life! I realized the other day that Mariana is truly a part of our family, as Myah woke up and decided to GIVE her sister the prized possession- her favorite night-time baby doll! Myah never shares this particular baby with ANYBODY! It brought me to tears when she announced, "Mari can have this forever. She can take it in her crib".
GIRLY UPDATES:
Myah- 3 1/4 years old, still loving preschool, her buddies (especially Maclain and Bennett these days-both of these boys are 3 year olds at daycare), and being silly. Myah enjoyed her first sleepover with her cousins- although there was very little sleep to be had! She has learned how to write some of the letters in her name and we keep busy with her favorite stickerbooks, playing the piano/singing, cooking/craft activities, as well as enjoying the warmer weather--finally! She also is really into Dora the Explorer right now!
Morning after the "sleep"over. Everyone is sooooo tired!

Favorite big cousin, Annika, who patiently plays with Myah!

Fun with cousin Elling- only 9 days apart!

Mariana- 9 months old- crawling, eating some table foods, laughing at her sister, and learning new signs ("puppy", "hi" "milk"). Today she signed "all done" in the high chair. She is also busy waving (with her palm facing herself), pulling herself up to standing, and finally feeling better (knock on wood) from the ear infections she was plagued with for a month. Her favorite things are: her sister, balls, blocks and baby dolls.

  1. I fondly remember those 'cousin sleep-overs' in the basement of Phil's old house. Great times! Thanks for sharing Dena!
