So December was a Blur

I feel terrible about not blogging sooner about December. Myah's birthday took over the first half of the month followed of course by Christmas and New years. A little recap:
Myah turned THREE on December 22nd. We are celebrating her beautiful little life as well as our surviving for three whole years of parenthood. She had an awesome Mickey Mouse Themed birthday party with many of her favorite people in attendance on the 18th. Highlights of the party included her favorite things:
-Cake (See below)
-Blow Horns (she asked to have these at her party for like 3 months and hardly used them)
-Old-fashioned games (drop the clothespin in the bucket...and we never got around to hot potato)
-Presents (including ice skates, a puppy purse, and a kids' digital camera)
-Being the center of attention

Thank you to all who came to celebrate and make her feel special!

Then came the many Christmas celebrations. I think all together we celebrated 7 different times. It was overwhelming--so much so that I decided to take a day off last week to recover, so did Phil. we had a lovely time with our family and friends, and considering we screwed up naps and bedtimes and dragged the girls all over the place, they fared well.
Myah did great for her stage debut as a Christmas angel in the program this year. Besides turning around for nearly on entire song to watch the kids behind her, she knew all the words and actions, and was probably the youngest by several months! Mommy and Daddy were proud.
We are also proud of Mariana as she is now sitting by herself and has popped 2 teeth! She's been clingy and miserable lately (although her miserable and cranky are nothing compared to big sister).
While she often gets off her tummy by rolling, she is refusing to roll over from back to front still, and the OT in mommy keeps coming out. We have mini-therapy sessions to work on this skill. :) If it weren't for her completely laid back personality, I might start to get concerned. (I should have known she was easy going considering she didn't want to come out of the womb on any specific time frame). She'll probably be one of those kids to walk at like 18 months.
Hoping you all had a blessed Christmas and New Years!
