I feel a profound sense of transformation and change occurring in my life right now. I am not sure if it is the change of becoming a family of four that has finally come into my consciousness, or if God is working in my heart to prepare me for change to come. Either way, I don't mind. I am happy and at peace with the process. I have officially decided to become a doula this year--one thing that will be changing. The pregnancy and birth of Mariana was so inspirational to me that I feel compelled to become a doula ( labor support person). I don't expect it to be a change in my career path, but rather a stepping stone for me to use in collaboration with my occupational therapy degree. I may also pursue additional on-call work with North Memorial after a strange and coincidental chain of events that occurred last week involving a dream, a conversation with Phil, and then a call from an HR recruiter.
There are countless other things I hope will transform this year. I'll blog about them as they occur....

And of course, the girls are constantly changing. Since that is why most people read the blog, here goes:
-Myah: getting ready for another bed upgrade and learning how to be gentle and kind to her sister and others. We started using a "Good Girl" chart and it is working great! She has been so much gentler and needed fewer redirections. I am extremely proud of her for her potty training accomplishments, too. She is starting to tell us when she has to go all on her own. I really am SO PROUD. I can't even believe how much pride a child bring a parent as they grow, it is truly incredible.
Mariana: starting to really try to move on her own, especially if it gets her closer to mommy. She is currently eating (and LOVING): squash, sweet potatoes, rice cereal, oatmeal, peas, pears, and apples. She has recently mastered the "ba", "da" "pa" and "ta" sounds. It was uber fun to hear her repeat "Dada" several times when talking about Daddy today. She is still going through a clingy phase, which includes crying huge crocodile tears the moment mommy walks away from her. Her personality is really starting to show through: observant, calm, and a bit shy. I think she'll be like her daddy <3.

I have been looking through some pictures lately, and thought some baby comparison pictures would be fun! Enjoy noticing the similarities and differences between the girls!!!!!
