Life with the girls is so much fun these days. It's wonderful to be spending the summer home with them. . . and I really am trying to enjoy it instead of thinking about going back to work :) I'll officially go back the week of the 21st, so I have a couple of weeks yet.
Myah update: we've been watching home videos from the last year or so, and it's truly remarkable how her vocabulary has changed and how mature she has become. She said to me yesterday, "Okay mommy, I'll concentrate". What two year old uses the word concentrate? Hilarious! The other funny thing she said to me was in the following:
"Myah, we get to go to the fair tomorrow!" (Mom)
"Oh, that'll be fun! On Threesday?"(Myah)
"Threesday?"(Mom)
"Yes mommy, Oneday, Twosday, Threesday?!" (Myah)
I'd like to think that she is really smart. The fact that she tried to figure out how the days of the week work impressed me. It would make sense to number the days of the week, and so many of them do really sound like numbers Monday (one) Tuesday (two) Thursday (three or four) Friday (Five).... makes me wonder about how the days were named originally!

She loves singing and dancing, and will be joining soccer this fall! Her class will be called the "thumpers." She'll also be starting preschool. I felt like it would be important to keep her little brain stimulated and preschool will give Mariana and I some time together.  She is really doing awesome with potty training, and I can say I haven't changed a messy diaper in 2 weeks! Still working on all-day dry, but I'm really proud of her. Her personality and likes are turning out to be like mine in many ways; she's sensitive, loves being social, loves music, being outside, and going and doing! She also loves animals, crafts and eating! I think teenage years will be a challenge since we're a lot alike--we are already butting heads some!

 

Mariana update: what a sweet baby! She really is amazing, sleeping through the night, eating well, gaining weight and just being adorable and sweet. She is learning to love her big sister despite the pulls, tugs, pinches and general over-excited and rough behavior. She is really talking a lot these days, which is why I'm adding the clip here so everyone can get a taste of what she is like! She also really enjoyed her first real swim last weekend!
