Phew.
My schedule the last couple of days:
Tuesday: worked 7:30-6:30, come home to a disaster. No daycare for tomorrow so we're scrambling from bedtime (after two tantrums it ended up late tonight at 8 pm) until 10pm to find someone, because I paid 400 dollars to go to a continuing education conference to keep my licensure and Phil agreed to go to WI tomorrow morning for a meeting for work. After probably 13 calls a break-down with lots of tears, and a fight with hubby, figure something out. Scrappy, but it will have to do. Pack Myah a lunch for tomorrow with a limited supply of food in the house. I ate 2 hotdogs and then suffered from indegestion for the next 6 hours because of it. (Of course no sleep with reflux)
Wed: go to conference, half awake. Drop Myah off with mother in law, 7 am, who watched Myah for two hours so my sister in law who worked until midnight could watch her from 9-1. Phil picks Myah up, while mommy has her conference until 4:30. Drive to see Dave for a half an hour with Phil and Myah, then come home for about 1/2 hour to eat some dinner (Applebees to go). Go to church (and I was on time) for a meeting and then praise team practice after meeting. Get home at 10 pm with ankles the size of Kentucky. Sleep until 4 am with a few pee breaks, to a crying and scared girl who apparently either had a nightmare or got her sore and bruised finger stuck in her afghan. Then no sleep for mommy until time to wake up, 6am Thursday.
Thursday: get Myah to daycare by 7:30, drive to 2nd day of conference, until 4:30. Phil picks up Myah from Daycare, quickly comes home, packs a dinner, and gets Myah off to Grammy and Grandpa's house, and he heads to the Twins game. Mommy goes to pick up some mother's day cards and gasoline before swimming class from 6-7 (A nice reprieve, but leaves mom feeling guilty for not seeing Myah. However, I paid for the class and feel a fiscal responsibility to go). Then pick up Myah at 7:30 and bring her home, not getting her to sleep until 8:20. 3 very late nights in a row, and apparently, no nap today. This results in many bedtime struggles for which this mommy is not equipped. Finally, mommy gets to sit down! Looking at the pitting edema on my legs and feeling the slightly painful braxton hicks contractions every 15-20 minutes convinced me to plop in front of the couch at 9pm instead of doing the load of dishes in the sink, or picking up the 3 different diaper bags contents from the past week that have been strewn about the floor and tables, or doing the incredible amount of paperwork that is overdue at work. . . . .
We'll see what the weekend brings. On tap: Myah's swim lessons, finish mother's day shopping, get together with Dad/stepmom, get together with mom/stepdad, get together with inlaws, sing on praise team, do a version of let's dish with a friend, tend to the garden, pack the hospital bag, work on Myah's room redecoration, work on maternity leave preparations and overdue paperwork uncompleted. . .
