I have a feeling....

I have a feeling the incredibly busy last two weeks are a sign of my life to come for the next several years.......
I have a feeling raising two active girls will leave me exhausted most nights.
I have a feeling that "me time" has now translated into taking a 15 minute bath instead of a 7 minute shower, going to the grocery store alone, or adding some fancy creamer for my coffee and enjoying a couple of sips before somebody cries out "MOOOOOOMMMMMM!"
I have a feeling that working a 10 hour day is easier than a full day at home.
I have a feeling that many sleepless nights lie ahead of me, even though both of my girls sleep through the night.
I have a feeling that I can't protect them from this ugly world; that they will endure many hurts.
I have a feeling that teaching purity, compassion, and faith will leave a heavy and anxious burden on my heart.
I have a feeling that even the slightest giggle will always brighten my day.
I have a feeling that all these feelings are the best that could ever happen.

Girl updates:
Mariana is doing a lot of really fun things these days . . . she is laughing and smiling all the time and intently observing her big sister in all that she does. She is rolling from front to back whenever given the opportunity and grabbing at almost everything from the phone to my drinks to her big sister's curly locks. She seems to enjoy almost all people, and is still extremely easy-going and sweet.
Mari had her first taste of real food the other night (good ole rice cereal, that is) and LOVED it! During the feeding she would cry anytime I walked away from her to grab something. While she is obviously not very skilled at eating yet, she sure is interested in the whole process.
Big sister Myah is also very interested in the addition of rice cereal to our evening family meal. She is so proud and enjoys helping with what she can. Unfortunately she had her first taste (literally) of the stomache flu last Thursday and Friday and ended up pretty sick. I couldn't believe the timing of her illness: I started a four day conference on Thursday and couldn't be with her at all. Daddy had to take time off work both Thursday and Friday, and was able to understand what it's like to be at home for many days in a row with two little girls. Myah was incredibly sweet.....anytime she threw up she said, "Sorry Daddy". We gave her lots of extra love, affection, and attention, and she soaked it up. She has been a super sweet loving little girl the last week.....
